In fact, I prefer my razor with standard windows drivers. Sounds odd, but true. Perhaps it was because the razor drivers were always crashing There are downsides with some other devices not liking such high polling rates, and with the overheads associated with the PC having to manage so many interrupts.

I've got a Belkin Nostromo N52te and a Sidewinder X8, they've been at Mhz since I got them both, but I recently upped the polling rate to Mhz and it's better only for one reason. The n52te sometimes would skip if a button was pressed down IE I'm pressing W to move forward, then I stop, then start again , but now it's at Mhz I don't get that at all.
I can't see any difference on anything else, and none of my other USB stuff is complaining, so it's going to stay at Mhz. Joined Nov 4, Messages 10, 1. YOu can also pull a signed driver out of saitek software for a controller pad, and for some logitech hardware. I will have to try this later.

Here's a screenshot of the Habu driver settings; you can select both your preferred DPI and polling rate, and write that into the mouse firmware permanently.
You can check your current mouse's USB polling rate via a utility like the Direct Input mouse rate tool. Low-end mice and wireless interfaces may not be able to exceed the default Hz USB polling rate, but you won't know until you try. To change your USB polling rate in software, refer to the following guides. If you own a reasonably nice mouse, and the mouse rate tool reports Hz movement, I recommend bumping up the USB polling rate in software.
Turning the polling rate all the way up to Hz probably isn't necessary. Back in my original post I link an app that you can test how quickly a key can be depressed and released.
It's only good for a short time period trialware as otherwise you have to license it but it showed me the potential on my development workstation. It should still be relevant for a lot of today's hardware that isn't sold as gaming hardware to start with and of main interest to people playing VP with USB keyboard encoders on their cabs.
So I remapped the mouse buttons to some keys and linked to VP flippers accordingly to get the better response times. I also have leaf switches on both X-Arcade Tankstick flipper buttons mouse and regular , to also help with physical triggering and touch sensitivity. Changed the initial link, somehow I always struggle with the megalinks I noticed that you mentioned your Tankstick, above, and I also have a modded one, so I was curious I may give it a shot.
